Cheap Movement Trays

Being short on cash I have to make some movement trays. So here is the way I did it. I started with a minilla folder and marked out how big I would need to cut out.

Then I took some cardboard and cut thin strips. I guess you could use cardboard for the whole thing. I have seen them made out of cereal boxes.



Then I used some tacky glue to stick the strips on to the cut up folder around the edge.
Then cut to size.






Seeing that I always have a can of flat black sitting around I sprayed it down.


Ta-Da!

I have used the plastic tray and they are great but the price was right. Plus you can make these to any size you want: Bounus.

Standard and Musician

I had 2 halbairds that had the axes broken off so I decided to make them part of the comand. I took some bits from the spear men and added them to the models. I shaved the sheild off the one and chopped of an arm to add the drumb and the drumb stick. For the standard I took a broken lance and topped it of with the skull. What do you think? Not to bad.

The List 1.0

Here is the first list I am going to be running hopfully this wensday. I am assuming that they use a list of about 2000 points and made the list where I can dump a few items if I am over. I was used to playing 2200 and you still cant take every thing you would like. Try as I might just could not get Karl Franz in to the list with a lvl 4 wizard and I dont want to run a list to light on magic. I am going to use the lore of life for the buffs and regen. The units will be made up of a big block of halbers and lots of knights. We will see how it goes.

Standing on their own

I finally got the bases I ordered on Ebay, took a while to get here but the price was right.
I got 100 bases for $8 including shipping. I am tring to play my first game in a long time this Wendsday so I have to get them off the goofy Battlemasters trays.



The fit was really tight so I had to widen them with a razor befor they would fit.

Looking better already!


Now thats more like it. I am still coming up with my list and will post it when I do.
I dont know how big an army they are playing at the shop yet but I'm aiming for 2000, that seems a safe bet. But tring to fit in Karl Franz seems tough and with out him in the list it seems a little bland a force to feild. I also have my war preist and wizard coming in the mail off ebay; they will not be here by this wensday though.

I picked up a pack of spearmen but they do not match the classic look of the rest army. They will have to do for now and Ill keep looking for some older ones.

Karl Franz

Stated painting my Karl Franz using all the colors that I used on the troops. The top feather will be red and the unpainted armor and few other areas will be gold; both of which I need to buy still. I have not started putting together Deathclaw yet; I need some modeling putty. Plus he is to expensive to use in my list.
