Hero Quest Pics

Here are some random pictures of my old Hero Quest Game. I never really got to play it and ended up trading it for the Battlemasters set that I am now converting to a WarHammer army. LOL gate way drug I guess.

I started playing Hero Quest with my cousins when I was younger: trying to capture my youth.

But who could not love a game that looks like this: with all the doors and furniture it really captures the imagination.

I had started paiting them but never finished.

What do you think of my smurf of death? I have a unit of night Goblins painted the same way.

BattleMasters turns Warhammer

I talked my room mate into playing battle masters with me the other day. The thing I never like about this game was all the turns a decided by a deck of cards who gets to go when. Because of this I one the first game and he one the second game because he got a knight card almost 10 times in a row. He got a little cocky so I gave him a crash course in Warhammer using only the movement rules and the stats, no special rule in play. Needless to say I handed him a swift thrashing. He still thinks that he could beat me I assured him he could never beat me at Warhammer. Any how here are some pics I even got around to making a table I am planning on painting it. Let me know your thoughts on Warhammer and Battle Masters.

Battle Masters

I started playing BattleMasters and Hero Quest with my cousins when in was about 10 or so. We would also take the pieces to the games and make our own which was just as fun. Both games where licensed by Milton Bradly from Games Workshop from there Warhammer lines and worked as a gate way drug as they used the same molds for the figures all of which are out of print now. They came out in the early 90's and you can still find both on Ebay just about any time but the price jumps up and down. I was in a mode of nostalgia when I got 2 set to make an Empire army to play Warhammer.

I started painting some of the figures a while back I have to find the motivation to finish the set.

I got the table set up, trying to talk my wife in to playing a game with me.
