Kurt Helborg Painted

I just finished up the highlighting on my Kurt Helborg paint job.

 If you look back at what this model looked like when I got it you may be able to tell I painted over the old job. It was already primed and had some colors on it already. The armor was painted and most of the red areas where blue the areas that are copper also left as it was.

 I went with the classic red and white of the Reiksguard, I will use the same color schem on the rest of my Reiksgaurd units. A whole unit will look really cool with this paint job me thinks.

Empire Painted Wizards

I found some more time to do some painting.

 I would like to add some copper or gold to his chest plate book and sword to spice it up. and the yellow stripes I added because it was looking plane.

 There are still have some color to add the hilt of the sword and the details on his hat and jacket. but all and all not bad.

War Priest Painted

I have not had much time to paint lately with work and a little girl, much less do a character. I have been painting a unit of halberdiers, but painting regular units can become a little tedious. So I thought I would do something a little more detailed. I got this war priest a while back and striped it from the paint job it came with. This is the first model I put eyes on. I came out pretty good. I wish the picture of the face where better. That is as close as I could get with my camera.

Heroica

I got these for my daughter to play with me when she gets older. I wanted to make sure I got them now before they stoped makeinf them like hero quest when I was a kid. I seems like a fun game that you can customize and you are encouraged to make new rules as you go. It you have kids I think it would be a fun one to start them gaming.

5 down and 1 to go the only 1 missing from series 2 now is daredevil. Most likely will have to buy series 1 online. I have them lined up on the dash in my van to keep me company. I now have 3 Dr. Dooms, 2 Cyclopses and a thing in doubles if any one wants them.

Marvel buildables

I was at pizza hut the last week before our extended hospital stay picking up a pizza before I stopped by my local comic store; when I came across these. I keep looking over at them going I don’t need that, I really don’t need that. So I went to the comic store to pick up the latest Auqaman book and when I came back to pick up my pizza I dropped my dollar in and out popped out a Dr. Doom. How can you not like these? I have since went back and picked up Cyclopes and the Thing along with a few duplicates.

All can be found on ebay as a complete set, but what’s the fun in that.

Day 5

We have been in two different hospitals now over the course of a week and it has been a long week. We think we have it figured out and are hitting it with a metric ton off meds. The Gracie is drowsy and cuddly today probably because we are pumping her full of anti-biotic, anti viral and anti fungal cocktails. The kido sat on my lap last night and watched star wars (or at least 20 minutes before she fell asleep) with me and was pretty transfixed. I am sure it was the drugs. I am ready for her to come home.

 

On arrival at the second hospital which we only agreed to come to because they had the iv meds she needed; we were told we don’t have that med. Thus begun world war 3.5. it turns out they did have it they just wanted to make there own diagnosis of the situation. But this is not the way to great 4 people who what to see their little girl come home. It took hour but now she is getting the works pumped in and should be on the road to recovery.
