2. Tournament Rules

A. Tournament Rules

Unless specified, all tournaments follow the rules documented in "Master Rules 2".

B. Deck

Deck can used in an official tournament
  • Only one deck may be used for the entire tournament.
Reinitializing your deck
  • Decks must be rearranged into their original configuration at the end of each match (Cards subtituted from the Side Deck must be returned there etc).
  • Decks cannot be rearranged at the beginning of matches.

C. Time Limit

Time limits for matches (best 2 out of 3) are predetermined for each tournament.
  • Interval time spent between duels for shuffling decks and card dealing is included.
  • To ensure the event's progression, the interval time may not exceed 3 minutes.

Behavior & Etiquette in Official Tournaments
  • Any behaviors or actions that result in a delay of the duel/event may result in penalties towards the offender(s).
  • If the duelist acts in such a way which causes unreasonable stalling for time unintentional or otherwise), the referee will first issue a 'warning'.
  • Should the duelist continue to act in this manner, steeper penalties will be issued.
  • If you suspect someone of acting in such a way, please alert a nearby referee.

Basic rules for General CompetitionThe winner of the match is decided by the player who has won the most duels.

[Method 1] If the time limit is reached during a duel:Assuming it's your turn when the time limit is reached,
  1. Finish your current turn.
  2. Proceed to "Extra Duel" if the duel is still inconclusive.

  3. Extra Duel consists of 5 turns (starting with your opponent's).
  4. The duelist with the most LP in the end is the winner.
  5. If there is still no winner, proceed to "Sudden Death".

Other Notes
  • LP is calculated at the end of the current duelist's turn (LP differences once the time limit has been reached are not counted)
  • When any LP changes take place during Sudden Death, the duelist with more LP at the end of turn will be the winner (also applies when certain card effects involve using LP)
  • Should "Extra Turns" or "Sudden Death" still result in a tie, proceed to "Method 2".

[Method 2] If the time limit is reached in between duels, and the current score is a 1-1 tie:
  1. Begin an "Extra Duel" of 4 turns.
※ Both duelists begin with 8000 LP.
※ The duelist with the most LP at the end will be the winner
  2. If both duelists still have the same LP, proceed to "Sudden Death".
  3. If at any point a LP difference takes place (even during a turn), the duelist with more LP will become the winner.
[Method 3] If the time limit is reached in between duels, and only one duel has been fought:
The winner of the first duel will be the winner.

Basic Tournament Rules
The duel shall proceed as follows:
  1. The two duelists exchange handshakes.
  2. Each duelist shows that their decks have the right number of cards in them:
    ※ Main Deck: 40~60
    ※ Side Deck: 0~15
    ※ Extra Deck: 0~15
  3. Both duelists will shuffle their decks in their opponent's plain sight
※ Duelists must not look at their own cards during the shuffling process
※ Duelists are not allowed to rearrange their cards in any specific order
  4. Both duelists will then hand their decks to their opponent face-down for reshuffling.
※ Excessive time should not be used for reshuffling.
  5. Decide who goes first with rock-paper-scissors; the winner will the choose who goes first.
  6. Each duelist draws 5 cards, and proceeds with their duels
  7. After each duel, the loser gets to decide who goes next.
  8. During the time between duels (but not between matches or before the first duel), duelists may swap out cards between their Main Deck and Side Deck

Things to pay attention to during the tournament:
  • If any ambiguities and/or questions arise during a duel, or if there is a dispute of rules or instructions, the judge will make a final decision for the duelists to abide to.
  • Any actions caused by actual misunderstandings of rules and/or card effects by both players without disrupting the duel will be ignored by the judge; no turn roll-backs or recalculations are allowed at such a point in the duel.
  • Judges will not listen to any objections or complaints raised after matches.
  • During the duel, all actions taken by either duelist must be made clear and acknowledged by both sides.
  • Though an average of 3 minutes should be spent on each turn, excessive time should not be spent to allow duels to conclude. Duelists who take an unusually long amount of time per turn may be penalized.

3. Card Restrictions & Limitations

Another craigslist find

I came across another great deal on craigslist! A whole set of skulls pass plus some extras for 40 bucks!

I have wanted to start a dwarf army for a little while so this was a great deal. I am sellin all the extra stuff to break even I might even make some money if I can make my self sell the goblins. Makes me wish I did not sell the other goblin stuff I had.

Some has already had paint job started, but I like to start from a white base and use inks and washes. They are plastic so I cant strip them, but I think if I hit them with a light coat of primmer I should be safe.

I did not take any pics of the gobo stuff yet.

Man of steel review

I went to go see the man of steel last Friday. Great movie good it had story cool action and character development. They did right by the alien for once. I was telling my friend that now that I am older and have a kid all the emotional moments of Clark and his father really got to me, even the baby being shot in to space had me saying no I just got something in my eye. There where even nods to batman as the fighting took to space on one of the satellites said Wayne Enterprise on the side, as well as a couple of tucks that said Lex corp. on the trailers. I would and will see it again as I have to take the wife.

Now for the few problems I have with the movie ill go least to greatest. First I thought the kryptononian tech was a little over done; Very small complaint no big deal.
Second every time superman has to do battle with any one ever it seems like more people would die in the wreckage that is created that he saves. I seen at least 4 building fall and you are telling me no one was in them. But I looked cool and that’s just a superman thing I guess, I know I would be sending him the bill to rebuild new york. And last and this is the biggest and I know every one is saying it  and SPOILERS, ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… if you read down this far its your own fault. Superman kills Zod when this happened like 2 people started to clap and the rest of the theater got really uneasy. He kills him to stop him from killing some innocent people and as I said be for he did not try to save any one in any of the buildings he toppled. None the less he crossed the line that he can never cross; yes he was broken up about it but not a Supermany thing to do. If super man crosses that line once what’s to stop him the next time. They say the first time is the hardest and after that it gets easier. Bat man will have to break out the kryptonite and take him down.
That is the whole plot to the injustice game and comic when super man crosses the line what’s to stop him. So much for all the sacrificed Kevin Costner made to raise him.

Over all great movies I’m not tiring to hate on it, it just thought it was not true to the character. I mean Hollywood not being true to a story or character it’s just not like them.

Leave you thoughts below tell me what you thought.

Summer Movies: Man of Steel and the Man in Iron

Man of steel is opening this week end and I am actually looking forward to it. Generally I am not a super man fan but it looks like its going to have a good story and from the trailers is going to look awesome. DC is looks to be really stepping up its game when it comes to movies lets hope that this does good, because I a fascinated to see how a justice league movie would be handled. I going to try to see it opening night my daughter will determine if that is going to happen or not. I seen Iron man 3 and had to catch a matinee. While talking about movies

I might as well touch on Iron man 3 as well. Here is how I describe it. At no point during the movie did I think this sucks, I even really liked how they handled the Mandarin I know that others did not like that. One Ben Kingsley is not Chinese two they can always bring a real Mandarin later and four I don’t mind straying form the source material as long as it’s honored. But when the credits rolled I did not have the same awesome blown away feeling that I had at the end of the Avengers or even the last Dark Knight movie. So either I am building up immunity to awesome or it was lacking awesome to effect me. Very funny as always Robert Downy was as engaging as ever bringing more to the roll of Tony Stark than I think was ever written on a page. Out of the three I would put it second and only because the ending of 2 was not so great. Also I expected more from seeing all the armors in the commercial that was a little bit of a let down for me.

So with great anticipation I look for ward to a summer of awesome movies. And just in cause you think I over used it; AWESOME. Leave you thoughts and feeling on Iron man 3 below.
